3rd Period Assignment for April 6

1. Spend the first 30 minutes of class reviewing the vocabulary and grammar of this chapter, using the activities from this post.
2. Write an essay in the next hour:  In Microsoft Word, write an essay of at least 10 Spanish sentences about your own family and your house.  (If this is too personal, feel free to invent your ideal family and your ideal house.)  Your essay should include the names of 5 people and their relationships to you, and the names of 5 rooms or features of your house or apartment.  You should use the verbs "HAY", "SE LLAMA" and "TENER" correctly.
3. If you have an online photo album, you may add actual family or home photos to your essay, or you may use google images to find school-appropriate photos for your ideal family.
4. When you finish, make sure your name is included, print or else please email your essay to me at MSBMARKMAN@Yahoo.com.

A REMINDER:   If you spend your time on youtube or facebook (other than a photo search), you will lose computer privileges and will complete the assignment on paper.

The project assignment is here, along with a list of what I am looking for.  Here's my sample menu, which is about 80% complete.  The project is due on Wednesday/Thursday this week and there will be a separate grade for acting out the conversation with your group and other class actors you choose.  Yes, I am willing to be one of your actors.

We wrote sentences using the Chapter 5 vocabulary, conjugating the verbs COMER, TOMAR & BEBER, and reviewing "at" times from a previous chapter.

Webquest! Wednesday & Thursday Assignment

1) Foods of the Spanish-speaking world.  Complete the Webquest worksheet.


2) If you have time, Create a Voki and write a restaurant script for him or her. (You should be able to do this without a log-in name.) Decide on two foods and one drink that he/she wants to eat. Either type the script and change the language to Spanish, or record the text by phone. Hit publish, then please email me your final voki.

Here's an example, but yours must request different foods.

Print the page you are working on and bring it to class.  Or capture the screen shot (explanation below) and email it to me. If all else fails, take a picture of yourself working in one of the games or completing one of the grammar exercises.
